This Course Privacy Policy sets out how Dr Lesley Hawson, ABN 94118768446 ("Dr Hawson", "we", "us" or "our") collects, uses, stores, discloses, and otherwise handles personal information in connection with the website located at saferhorses.com.au, associated course landing pages hosted by Carrd (collectively, the "Website"), and the sale and delivery of educational courses and related digital products.
We are committed to protecting the privacy and security of your personal information. We handle all personal information in accordance with the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth) (the "Privacy Act") and the Australian Privacy Principles ("APPs"), to the extent they apply to our business.
By accessing our Website, purchasing a course, or otherwise providing your personal information to us, you consent to the collection, use, storage, and disclosure of your personal information as described in this Privacy Policy.

We use a number of third-party service providers to assist us in operating the Website, processing payments, and communicating with you. Email marketing. Used to send marketing communications to subscribers who have opted in, and to store subscriber names and email addresses. MailerLite is based in the European Union and handles personal information in accordance with the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR).
Google Workspace
Email and data storage. Used for business email correspondence, course delivery communications, and storing business records.
Substack
Content publication platform. If you subscribe to Dr Hawson's Substack, your information is handled in accordance with Substack's own privacy policy.
Squarespace
Website hosting. Provides the infrastructure for saferhorses.com.au and may collect technical information through essential or analytics cookies.
Carrd
Course landing-page hosting. Provides the course sales page and may collect technical information about visits to that page.
YouTube (Google)
Video hosting and course-content delivery. When you access hosted course video, YouTube may collect technical and usage information under Google's privacy policy.
Each of these third-party providers has its own privacy policy governing how it handles your personal information. We encourage you to review their respective privacy policies.
We take reasonable steps to ensure that any third-party provider we engage handles your personal information in a manner consistent with the APPs, to the extent applicable.
6. Disclosure of personal information
We may disclose your personal information to:
● our third-party service providers as described in clause 5 above, to the extent necessary for them to provide their services to us;
● our professional advisers, including lawyers and accountants, as reasonably required for the operation of our business; and

If you subscribe to Dr Hawson's Substack publication, those communications are managed by Substack in accordance with its own terms and privacy policy. To unsubscribe from Substack, use the unsubscribe option within the Substack platform.

● our third-party service providers' platforms (as described in clause 5 above); and
● secure digital storage under our direct control.
While we take reasonable precautions, no method of electronic storage or transmission over the internet is completely secure. We cannot guarantee the absolute security of your personal information.
We will take reasonable steps to destroy or permanently de-identify personal information when it is no longer needed for the purposes for which it was collected, or as otherwise required by law.
